Overview
This Masters class proposes to train health service professionals capable of collaborating with risk and safety managers in the field of the quality management of clinical risk and safety concerning patients in a variety of health service structures (departments, services, operative units, in hospital and out-of-hospital care). These operators will need to develop competencies needed to achieve the objectives of risk management with the use of assessment instruments and techniques that are coherent with the nature of the context, the organization and the issues to be resolved. Furthermore, the Masters class aims at developing an integrated inter-professional training course that is based on an idea of healthcare management characterised by the continuous improvement of quality oriented towards patient centred assistance. Another objective of the class is to favour the development of a multidimensional vision of problem solving by taking into careful consideration the various elements that it contains: organisational, technological, relational, professional, economic, environmental and logistical, medical and legal, etc. In view of the development of a professional role that is both scientifically and culturally very broad, this Masters class, therefore, is not only focused on objectives oriented towards the technical and scientific dimensions of the profession, but also on those relating to management and assessment with an emphasis on the development of applicable personological traits.
