Dr Vincenzo Corbo graduated with honors in Biotechnology and, in 2009, obtained his PhD in Human Pathological Oncology. As post doc, he worked in the lab of Dr David Tuveson at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (USA), where he participated to the development of a novel culture system of pancreatic cancer, termed organoids. His major scientific interest is the functional validation of genetic alterations identified through sequencing of cancer genomes. Dr Corbo is recipient of the prestigious “Hakan Ahlman Award” from ENETS for its contribution to the study of neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas.
