Curriculum

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Animal Production Sciences and a Master's degree in Veterinary Biotechnology Sciences, both from the University of Milan. I achieved a PhD with a scholarship in Nanosciences and Advanced Technologies, within the Morphological-Clinical Nanomedicine curriculum.

In addition to my academic and research activities, I gained professional experience in a GLP-regulated environment, supporting projects in both the Safety Assessment and Immunoassay departments. My activities included working on genotoxicity assays (Ames test, in vitro and in vivo micronucleus) in accordance with OECD and ICH guidelines, as well as molecular and immunoassay techniques such as nucleic acid extraction and quantification, qPCR/RT-qPCR optimization and validation, ELISA, and flow cytometry sample preparation. This experience allowed me to become familiar with GLP standards, internal SOPs, and the requirements of method validation, strengthening my ability to work accurately and responsibly in a regulated setting.

My research focused on the characterization of extracellular vesicles derived from primary and mesenchymal adipose cells, and their interaction with commercially available nanoparticles used as contrast agents in preclinical mouse models. Throughout my academic path, I have refined my skills in cell culture and molecular biology techniques, obtained Function A certification for in vivo experimentation, and gained experience with preclinical imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and micro-computed tomography (micro-CT).

Driven by a deep curiosity and a constant desire to expand my knowledge, I have consistently approached new challenges with enthusiasm and responsibility. Working independently across two research institutions has significantly enhanced my capabilities in the research field. Over time, I have applied my academic knowledge to practical settings and improved my technical proficiency through rigorous and meticulous work, always maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with my supervisors.

My ability to analyze complex problems, combined with a well-developed research methodology and a goal-oriented mindset, allows me to manage and implement time-sensitive projects effectively—both independently and as part of a team.
